Dealer: AvtoVAZ to raise car prices by 1% on August 1

MOSCOW, Jul 25 (PRIME) -- Russian car producer AvtoVAZ will raise prices by about 1% on August 1, the third time in 2019, an official at Avtomir, one of AvtoVAZ’ largest dealers, told PRIME on Thursday.

“AvtoVAZ has notified the dealer that it will raise the price of all car models by about 1% on August 1,” the official said.

An industry source said that the prices will grow by 5,000–7,000 rubles, or by 1–1.5% to 499,900 rubles for Lada Granta to 1.022 million rubles for Lada Vesta Sport.

In January, the prices grew 2.5–3% due to growth of value-added tax (VAT). On July 1, the price increased by 5,000 rubles for all Lada Vesta and Lada Granta cars except Cross.
